That picture of you is priceless! Also, I'm struck by the convergence of joyous celebrations--Holi for Hindus, Purim for Jews, Mardi Gras for Catholics. Seems like everybody needs to let loose this time of year, throw around some color or wear a costume.
Heh. My own 12 year old wanted to play Holi tomorrow and I ordered a whole bunch of colored powder but we realized that this week, with play rehearsals, is just too busy. I did round up a whole bunch of neighborhood kids a couple of years ago, in the depths of the pandemic, and boy did they have fun running around and dousing each other with color at the local school playground!
What a wonderful sharing… you are such an engaged and inspired creative human!!
Thank you
PS- you sweetness as a 12 year old still shines bright and clear🙏🏼🧡🙏🏼
Joanna di, that is high praise coming from such an accomplished and wonderful artist such as yourself! Thank you.
Yay, very exciting timing. Can't wait to read your new book.
I like bad jokes but groan with that Holi joke. ;-)
Could have been worse! I just got back from Mexico--I could have said Holi Guacamole!

Yes! These holidays often overlap. Sometimes also Eid. Definitely a time of renewal, rebirth, and partying!
12 year old Anjali is AMAZING.
